This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

 Limited lightning risk.
 Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Much of the night should remain quiet, however closer to sunrise,
some isolated to scattered thunderstorm chances exist, primarily
in the northwest portion of the CWA as decaying overnight
convection moves into the area. Lightning and brief heavy rainfall
will be the primary hazards with this activity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

There is then a Marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather on
Thursday afternoon/evening as convection redevelops. Main threats
are damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph and heavy rainfall with
those storms.

Temperatures gradually increase into the low to mid 90s through
the weekend, with maximum heat index values up to 100-
105 degrees. By the middle of next week, high temperatures in the
mid to upper 90s are possible, along with maximum heat index
values up to around 105. Heat headlines may be needed.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
