This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive heat risk.

DISCUSSION...

Daytime heat indices in the middle 90s to low 100s. Low
temperatures in the lower to middle 70s will provide little
relief from the hot and humid conditions of the day, increasing
heat risk.

Isolated to scattered pulse showers and thunderstorms will be
possible across the area this afternoon into early evening. Any
showers would be short-lived and localized, and most will stay
dry with rain chances less than 35%. Potential hazards from these
storms would be lightning and briefly heavy rainfall with
localized accumulations around a quarter inch from the strongest
storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heat index values in the middle 90s to low 100s will occur each
day this week and into the weekend.

Rain chances between 30 and 50% daily from Friday through the
weekend, with the highest chances north of Interstate 44.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
