This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Winds will begin to increase through the remainder of today,
becoming breezy tonight with gusts up to 25-35 mph. A few gusts
above 40 mph cannot be ruled out.

As winds increase, rain chances will also increase, peaking at 85
to 100 percent tonight. There is a low 10 to 20 percent chance
for a stray thunderstorm or two after midnight tonight. Lightning
would be the main hazard.

Some snow may mix in with the rain after midnight tonight along
and east of Highway 63. Little to no wintry impacts are expected
from this, though there may be a brief period of slushy road
conditions tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

There is an 90 to 100 percent chance for rain Saturday, with
diminishing precipitation chances into Saturday night. There
exists a low 10 to 20 percent chance for a thunderstorm or two.

Wind gusts could reach 30 to 40 mph Saturday and Sunday.

Another system will move towards the area Monday which could
cause additional winter precipitation, however confidence is low
at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
