This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

A Wind Advisory is in effect until 3 PM this afternoon along the
Ozark Plateau and I-44 corridor. Wind gusts up to 25 to 40 mph can
be expected, with stray wind gusts above 45 mph possible,
especially between 8 AM and 1 PM.

Numerous showers will continue across the area through the
afternoon, and while we cannot rule out an isolated embedded
thunderstorm, lightning coverage is expected to be minimal.

Any snow that is mixed in with the rain east of Highway 63 will
transition to all rain after 8 AM this morning. No wintry impacts
are expected save for a brief period of potentially slushy roads.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Wind gusts will continue to be in the 25 to 30 mph range through
Sunday morning resulting in near single digit wind chills.

Another system will move towards the area Monday. There is
currently a 35 to 60 percent chance of precipitation. Any
precipitation that does occur would likely fall as light snow.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
