.Synopsis for the far Southern California coast...
At 1 PM, a 1026 mb high was 1200 nautical miles west of San Diego
and a 1012 mb low was over Needles, CA. Weak onshore flow will
prevail through Thursday morning. Southerly winds will increase
late Thursday ahead of the next storm system, then turn westerly
Thursday night as the cold front passes through. Winds may gust to
20 to 25 knots Thursday evening through Friday morning. There is
also a slight chance of thunderstorms late Thursday through late
Friday. Any thunderstorm could bring lightning, gusty winds,
choppy seas, and a waterspout. Offshore flow prevails Friday and
Saturday, before turning weakly onshore late Saturday and Sunday.
