.Synopsis for the far Southern California coast...
At 2 AM, a 1021 mb high was 500 nautical miles west of Monterey
and a 1009 mb low covered the desert from Death Valley to Las
Vegas to El Centro. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms
are expected today, moving onshore during the early evening. Any
thunderstorm could bring gusty, erratic winds, briefly choppy
seas, and low visibility. Generally weak onshore flow will
prevail through Saturday.
