.Synopsis for the far Southern California coast...
At 1 AM, a 1022 mb high was 700 nautical miles west of Los Angeles
and a 1013 mb low was over Puerto Penasco, Mexico. Weak and
variable flow will prevail through Thursday. Southerly winds will
increase late Thursday as the next storm system arrives, with the
potential to bring hazardous winds and seas. There is also a
slight chance of thunderstorms late Thursday through Thursday
night. Any thunderstorm could bring lightning, gusty winds,
choppy seas, and a waterspout. Offshore flow prevails Friday and
Saturday, before turning weakly onshore late Saturday and Sunday.
