.Synopsis for the far Southern California coast...
At 2 PM, a 1030 mb high was 1500 nautical miles west of Los
Angeles, and a 1004 mb low was 100 nautical miles west of Eureka.
A storm system will approach today and move through Saturday,
bringing gusty winds, steep seas, and increasing rain chances.
Breezy south winds today will strengthen Saturday with gusts up to
35 knots. Occasional heavy rain will reduce visibility,
especially Saturday. Additionally, there is a chance for
thunderstorms tonight through Saturday night, with further
information in the Marine Weather Statement. Weaker, but breezy
onshore flow will return Saturday night and Sunday, before
strengthening again Monday.
