.DISCUSSION...
A marine layer near 1200 to 1500 feet deep will deepen to around
2000 feet late tonight as a low pressure system moves inland to
the north with cooling and breezy conditions for southwestern
California. Winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph along below the desert
slopes of the mountains for Wednesday afternoon and evening. High
pressure aloft will bring warming for the coast and valleys for
Friday through the weekend. This may be followed by a cooling
trend for early next week as a low pressure system may develop
somewhere well off the California coast. Chances for wetting
rainfall remain less than 10 percent for Monday and Tuesday of
next week, then increase to 30 to 40 percent for Wednesday and
Thursday of next week.
