.DISCUSSION...
Weak to moderate strength Santa Ana winds expected on Monday with
gusty north winds through Cajon Pass. Wind gusts for the burn
area expected to be around 25 to 30 mph Monday afternoon,
occasionally up to 35 mph at times in strong gusts. Wind gusts
decrease Monday evening, becoming onshore again by Tuesday
afternoon. Winds stay onshore until late Wednesday when weak
offshore flow resumes, likely carrying into Friday, albeit weaker
than Monday`s winds. With Monday`s Santa Anas, humidity falls to
near 25 percent in the afternoon, followed by relatively poor
overnight recovery to about 35 percent Tuesday morning. Humidity
falls back to 20-25 percent Tuesday afternoon before onshore flow
resumes, followed by much better moisture and excellent humidity
recovery Wednesday morning. A few showers are possible Wednesday
morning into Wednesday afternoon, though showers will be quite
scattered and fairly light, with low chances of wetting rains. Gradual
drying expected with the return of offshore flow mid- late week.
