.DISCUSSION...
Elevated, off-and-on showers move in from the southwest today,
resulting in mostly light precipitation. Generally light winds
today. South to southeast winds strengthen tonight with an
approaching cold front, though not to wind advisory strength, and
showers become more numerous late this evening with an additional
small chance for thunderstorms. Widespread, moderate to heavy
precipitation moves in early Saturday morning into the afternoon.
Winds turn southwesterly to westerly and precipitation becomes
more off-and-on showery again late Saturday afternoon, though
occasionally heavy showers and thunderstorms continue to be
possible through Saturday. Winds from the south to southeast late
tonight into Saturday will carry smoke north to northwest, and
some impacts to HWY 79 around and just north of the burn are
possible, though HWY 76 and Santa Ysabel Res will remain
unimpacted.
