Widespread showers this morning for the lower deserts adjacent
mountain slopes. Isolated showers will move west of the mountains
at times. Showers will taper off this afternoon into tonight,
ending by early Sunday morning. Rainfall rates will generally be
0.15 inch per hour or less.

Additional rainfall accumulations in the mountains and deserts
will range from around 0.10-0.40 inch, with isolated amounts
closer to 0.80 inch on the east slopes of the Laguna Mountains.
West of the mountains any additional accumulation will be less
than 0.10 inch. Snow levels are still hovering around 6500 ft, but
will rise to 7000 ft later this morning. Additional snow
accumulations of a few tenths to around 2 inches is expected,
locally up to 3-4 inches on the east side Onyx Peak and Mt San
Gorgonio. Dry weather will follow for Sunday through Friday.
Additional rainfall is possible beginning late Saturday (20-30%
chance).
