Issued at 1243 AM CDT Tue Sep 2 2025 - A weak cool front will give us a chance to see a few showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. - Dry conditions expected from mid to late week. - The warmest days this week will come at the end of the week with a highs in the mid 90s, with much cooler temperatures late in the weekend into early next week. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1114 AM CDT Tue Sep 2 2025 Weak disturbances within mid-level flow aloft combined with an approaching frontal boundary from the northwest will allow for a few showers and thunderstorms across the region today. High temperatures to range from the mid 80s to the around 90 degrees this afternoon. Any lingering convection this evening should dissipate by midnight with overnight lows forecast to fall into the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. A few diurnally driven showers and thunderstorms possible along the diffuse frontal boundary across portions of north Louisiana and south Arkansas on Wednesday afternoon. Otherwise, high pressure to rebuild across the region from the west allowing for slightly cooler afternoon highs in the upper 80s. The drier airmass will also allow for much cooler overnight low temperatures ranging from the lower 60s across the Ouachitas to the mid to upper 60s across north Louisiana and Deep East Texas by Thursday morning. Otherwise, dry conditions to persist through the early part of the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible from Saturday through Monday, mainly in the afternoon and evening, ahead of another cold front that will move across the region and linger across the northern gulf coast. Much cooler high pressure behind the front will replace highs in the lower 90s on Saturday with highs in the mid 80s on Sunday. Some locations across southeast Oklahoma may hover in the upper 70s. Otherwise, expect late weekend low temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. /05/ && .AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1232 PM CDT Tue Sep 2 2025 Conditions will stay VFR with a light cu field over the region through the period. Winds will generally be northerly and less than 5 kts, with several areas likely to have near-calm winds overnight. This could increase the chance for fog development depending on what areas see rain this afternoon. The HREF is still placing the highest rain chances east of I-49 at this time but some VCSH in other areas can`t be ruled out. Rain should begin to dissipate shortly after 00z tonight. /57/ && .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
