WEATHERWISE DURING NOVEMBER 2024, SHREVEPORT RECORDED MUCH ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES AND NEAR NORMAL RAINFALL. IN FACT, FOR THE SECOND
STRAIGHT MONTH (IN ADDITION TO OCTOBER), SHREVEPORT RECORDED THE
WARMEST NOVEMBER ON RECORD WITH AN AVERAGE MONTHLY TEMPERATURE OF
64.5 DEGREES, SURPASSING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 63.3 DEGREES SET
BACK IN 1927. THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 89 DEGREES OBSERVED ON THE 4TH
SET THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE IN RECORDED HISTORY FOR THE MONTH OF
NOVEMBER, SURPASSING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 88 DEGREES WHICH TIED ON
MULTIPLE DATES. THIS TEMPERATURE ALSO WAS THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE
RECORDED IN SHREVEPORT THIS LATE IN THE CALENDAR YEAR. ANOTHER
RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 83 DEGREES ON THE 18TH TIED WITH THIS
SAME TEMPERATURE SET FOR THE DATE IN 1942. HIGHEST MINIMUM
TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE TIED OR SET ON THE 3RD, 4TH, AND 12TH, WITH
THE 76 DEGREE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE RECORDED ON THE 4TH ALSO SETTING
THE WARMEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE ON RECORD THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF
NOVEMBER, AND LATEST IN ANY GIVEN YEAR. NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
AFFECTED THE SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY AREA THROUGHOUT NOVEMBER.

FOR THE CLIMATOLOGICAL FALL OF SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER-NOVEMBER, FALL 2024
RANKED AS THE WARMEST FALL ON RECORD AT 72.8 DEGREES, SURPASSING THE
PREVIOUS RECORD OF 72.2 DEGREES SET BACK IN 1913. THE FALL 2024
TOTAL RAINFALL IN SHREVEPORT WAS 7.79 INCHES, WHICH WAS 4.26 INCHES
BELOW NORMAL. THIS DID NOT RANK IN THE TOP 30 DRIEST FALLS ON
RECORD, DESPITE THE MUCH BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL OBSERVED DURING
SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER.
