.DISCUSSION...
Aside from a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms across portions
of east and northeast Texas and southeast Oklahoma on Monday, dry
conditions to prevail areawide through midweek with afternoon highs
in the mid 90s. Light and variable winds expected through Monday,
becoming south and increasing to as high as 10 mph across east and
northeast Texas on Tuesday as the prevailing surface high shifts east.
Low-level southerly flow returning to the region will drive afternoon
RH values upwards from 35 to 50 percent on Monday to 45 to 60 percent
by Wednesday. Otherwise, widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms
expected late in the workweek.
