.DISCUSSION...
Very quiet day for us radar wise with partly to mostly cloudy
skies. It was a cool and wet day across the Angelina Zone as a
decaying complex lingered much of the day with a high in Lufkin of
79 degrees with nearly four tenths of an inch of light rain. Today
will see less organization and perhaps more of the typical summer
heat and humidity afternoon pop-up routine. In general the big
heavy rains are thinning out with much less in the buckets spread
around. RH mins will be drier east of I-49 in the 40 percent range
with a little higher 50 percent range elsewhere with the better
chance for those pop-ups. Into the evening a few showers may cross
I-49 and then again on Tuesday, the best chances will flip to
better across our east as a cool front shifts the winds to NW
early in the day. From there, the forecast looks drier area wide
with slight chances returning late week and weekend as another
front stalls of the Natural State. Temps this week will continue
to cool night through the 60s under fair skies and then to follow,
sunny days with less clouds will see highs edging back toward
middle 90s.
