.DISCUSSION...
Unseasonably warm and dry conditions will continue throughout the
remainder of this week across our area fire districts. By the end
of this week and especially by Saturday into Saturday night, rain
chances will increase as a major storm system is expected to send
a cold front into the region accompanied by scattered to numerous
showers and thunderstorms. Until then, minimum relative humidity
values will continue in the 30 to 40 percent range, as well as
afternoon mixing height values between 5000 and 7000 ft. Easterly
winds today will begin to veer more southeasterly and southerly
with sustained speeds averaging 5-10 mph each day through Friday.
