Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
226 PM CDT Tue Jun 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Showers and storms may impact our northern districts overnight, with
new rounds of storms moving into our northwest tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, southerly flow may bring pop up storms to our southernmost
districts during the afternoon. Area soils and vegetation will remain
fairly saturated throughout due to recent rains. Minimum relative
humidity will be in the 50 to 60 percent range while mixing heights
reach peak values of 3500 to 5000 ft. Southwest winds will become
southerly through this forecast period, maintaining speeds of 5 to
10 mph with gusts of up to 20 mph possible.
