.DISCUSSION...
Cooler temperatures with unsettled weather will continue through the weekend,
as a weak cool front drifts south through the region tonight/Saturday morning.
Scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms will remain possible near
and north of the front tonight over Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and
Southwest Arkansas, before gradually increasing through the day Saturday as a
weak upper level disturbance traverses northeast along the I-30 corridor.
Additional isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible
Saturday afternoon elsewhere across Lower East Texas and North Louisiana, as a
weak disturbance moves onshore the Southeast Louisiana coast. Even as this weak
cool front drifts through the region by daybreak Saturday, abnormally high min
RH`s are expected as they range from 60-80%, as northeast 20ft winds increase to
around 10 mph. Isolated to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms should linger
across the area Saturday night and Sunday morning, before diminishing from north to
south through the day as drier air begins to deepen in wake of the frontal passage.
Cooler and more seasonable temperatures will return Sunday and Monday, with another
extended period of dry conditions returning for much of the new work week. A warming
trend will commence by mid and late week as an upper level ridge drifts east into the
area from the Desert Southwest, with afternoon temperatures returning to near/in excess
of 90 degrees.
