The National Weather Service office in Shreveport LA will conduct a storm survey today for portions of DeSoto Parish near the Grand Cane area as well as Eastern Panola County. The survey is in relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through these areas during the late afternoon and evening hours of Thursday, May 30th, 2024. A final assessment including results of the survey are expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information Statement by late this afternoon or evening.
