...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CADDO PARISH...
EASTERN MARION...SOUTHEASTERN CASS AND NORTHEASTERN HARRISON COUNTIES
THROUGH 800 PM CDT...

At 707 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Smithland, or 16 miles south of Atlanta, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Atlanta, Bivins, Smithland, McLeod, Lodi, Kildare, Gray, and
Uncertain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
