...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CHEROKEE AND
CENTRAL SMITH COUNTIES UNTIL 330 PM CDT...

At 234 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles west of Bullard, or 12 miles west of Whitehouse, moving north
at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
  Tyler, Whitehouse, Lindale, Bullard, Noonday, New Chapel Hill,
  Winona, Red Springs and Teaselville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
