SOUTHWESTERN RUSK AND NORTHEASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES UNTIL 630 AM CDT... At 540 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Ponta, or 8 miles northeast of Rusk, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Rusk, Sacul, New Salem, Ponta, New Summerfield, Cushing, Gallatin, Reklaw, Lilbert and Linwood. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
