Upper-level high pressure will remain the dominant feature across
the region, keeping warm and drier conditions in the forecast
through Tuesday. Overnight lows tonight will fall into the upper
50s to mid 60s, and high temperatures for Monday are expected to
remain in the mid 80s to lower 90s. Expect breezy south to
southeasterly winds through this evening, with some gusts as high
as 20 mph. Winds will become light and variable overnight then
pick back up from the southeast around 5 to 10 MPH through Monday
morning.

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday night through next Monday)
Issued at 122 PM CDT Mon Oct 13 2025

The upper level ridge will start to push east on Thursday as a large
trough begins to move in from the west. The trough is currently
forecast to move over the area late Friday into Saturday. At the
surface, low pressure will develop ahead of the trough to our north.
A dryline is expected to move east through much of the area on
Saturday, dropping RHs below 25%. Behind the dryline we will also
experience winds around 10 to 20 mph, which will lead to elevated
fire weather concerns. After the dryline moves in, a weak front
will approach from the north. Once again, the front will have a
minimal impact on temperatures. However, with the upper level
support from the trough and the 2 boundaries over our forecast
area, we will have a low chance (<30%) for some showers late
Friday into Saturday. Widespread rain is not expected, but a few
areas (particularly in our southeastern counties) could see some
of this activity.

variable winds take over during the overnight period. Winds will
begin to increase from the southeast again Monday morning.
