The National Weather Service in San Angelo has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Kimble County in west central Texas...
  Northeastern Sutton County in west central Texas...

* Until 215 PM CDT.

* At 1158 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers moving across the
  warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The
  expected rainfall rate is 0.25 to 0.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional
  rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned
  area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Roosevelt, Cleo, I-10 Near The Sutton-kKmble County Line and Us-83
  Near The Kimble-Menard County Line.

This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 422 and 450.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
