...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Irion, Sterling and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms from Carlsbad...Water Valley to Grape Creek to
    San Angelo...moving southeast into San Angelo. Minor flooding
    is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    San Angelo, O.C. Fisher Reservoir, Lake Nasworthy, San Angelo
    State Park, Twin Buttes Reservoir, Goodfellow Air Force Base,
    Grape Creek, Tankersley, Carlsbad, Wall, Knickerbocker,
    Veribest, Arden, Vancourt, Mereta, Us-67 Near The Irion-Tom
    Green County Line and Harriet.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    College Hills and Millbrook, Southwest Blvd and Loop 306,
    Howard and Webster, Jackson From Knickerbocker to South
    Bryant, FM 2334 crossing Ninemile Creek, Ranch Road 853
    crossing east Rocky Creek, RM 853 crossing Dry Draw, FM 1692
    crossing Concho River, FM 1692 crossing Sales Branch and
    Ranch Road 853 crossing Middle Concho River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
