.SYNOPSIS FOR PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS WATERS...
Jerry will move near the Northern Leeward Islands this evening and
tonight, at a safe distance from the local islands. Although no
direct tropical storm impacts are expected, indirect marine impacts
will spread across the regional waters by late tonight into the
weekend. Swells generated by Jerry will lead to hazardous seas up to
8 to 9 feet, particularly across the offshore Atlantic waters and the
Anegada Passage, where a Small Craft Advisory will be in effect from
midnight through late Friday night. Mariners should exercise caution,
as conditions will deteriorate late tonight through early in the
weekend before gradually improving.
