.DISCUSSION...
In a similar pattern to yesterday, showers will arrive mainly
towards windward locations during the morning at times and
afternoon isolated showers expected to develop mainly interior to
western Puerto Rico. Winds will be mainly from the east at 12 to
17 mph, with higher gusts and sea breeze fluctuations. RH values
will briefly drop near the critical range along the southern
slopes and plains of PR, but overall remain above threshold
values. KBDI values also remain below critical thresholds,
indicating that fuels retain sufficient moisture to limit rapid
fire spread but continue to increase with abnormally dry regions
increasing in areal coverage as stated by the Drought
Monitor. Therefore, today we expect a low to locally moderate
risk of fire weather.
