.DISCUSSION...
Soil conditions and KBDI values continue below critical thresholds,
especially in the southern plains and southwestern coastal areas,
where previous day`s KBDI for Cabo Rojo was 323 and for Guanica
is 473. A tropical wave crossing the region and the light east
southeast winds along with local sea breezes will continue to bring
patches of moisture across the islands to maintain RH values
generally in the 50s or higher. Winds will continue from the east-
southeast between 8 to 12 mph but higher with the sea breezes and
afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Given the expected conditions,
the threat of fire danger will remain low today.
