.DISCUSSION...
Once again, the presence of a thick upper-level cloud deck over
the region, will delay the onset of afternoon showers today.
Although afternoon convection will develop mainly north and west
of Lajas, we have a moderate chance (20-40 percent) of showers and
thunderstorms development over Lajas, especially in the
afternoon. We expect an increase in winds for today, with east to
southeast winds ranging between 15 and 20 mph with gusts between
25 and 35 mph. Sea breeze will also form across the region,
providing good ventilation. Maximum temperatures should remain in
the upper 80s, with heat indices around 103 degrees Fahrenheit due
to the available moisture. RH values will drop into the low 60s
around when we expect the winds to peak.
Nuevamente, la presencia de una densa capa de nubes altas sobre la
region, retrasara el desarrollo de aguaceros en la tarde. Aunque
se desarrollara conveccion en la tarde mayormente sobre el norte y
oeste de Lajas, tenemos una probabilidad moderada (20-40
porciento) de observara aguaceros y tronadas sobre Lajas, en
especial durante la tarde. Esperamos un aumento en vientos hoy,
con vientos del este al sureste entre 15 y 20 mph con rafagas en
los 25 y 35 mph. La brisa marina se desarrollara en la region,
proveyendo buena ventilacion. Las temperaturas maximas deben
permanecer en los altos 80s, con indices de calor cercano a los
103 grados Fahrenheit debido a la humedad disponible. Los valores
