This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Lightning...One or two isolated thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon, mainly across south-central to southwestern Puerto
Rico. Stay alert and be prepared to take shelter if storms
develop.

.Excessive Rainfall...Ponding of water is possible on roads and in
poorly drained areas, especially where persistent rain or brief
heavy downpours occur across southwestern Puerto Rico. There is a
low chance of localized urban and small-stream flooding.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone, particularly along north- and east-facing beaches of
northern Puerto Rico and Culebra. Isolated stronger rip currents
may also occur elsewhere, especially near piers, jetties, and
channels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Quiet conditions are expected through Monday, with only a moderate
rip current risk on Saturday and no significant hazards Sunday or
Monday. By Tuesday, strengthening winds and an arriving
northeasterly swell will begin increasing rip current and small-
craft risks. These hazards may peak on Wednesday, when stronger
winds and building seas could produce a high life-threatening rip
current risk, hazardous marine conditions, and a limited non-
thunderstorm wind risk along exposed areas. Elevated winds and
swell may keep higher risks in place late in the week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed.
