430 AM AST Wed Jan 15 2025

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Wind...Breezy conditions. Unsecured items could blow around.

.Marine Conditions...Seas equal or greater than 7 feet across
the offshore and nearshore Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico and
Culebra and the local passages. Hazardous conditions for small
craft.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the
surf zone particularly across the north and east facing beaches
of Puerto Rico, from Rincon to Ceiba, as well as for Culebra and
Vieques.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Additional pulses of northerly swells will create hazardous marine
conditions for small craft through the period, and the resulting
large breaking waves could result in a high risk for life-
threatening rip currents, particularly along Atlantic-facing
beaches. A limited wind risk will also persist. Elevated moisture
levels and favorable conditions will raise the risk of excessive
rainfall by the end of the workweek into the weekend.
