...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE CARIBBEAN WATERS AND ANEGADA
PASSAGE...

The areas affected include...
  Anegada Passage east of Virgin Gorda and Saint Croix south to
  17N...
  Caribbean Waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the
  Coastal Waters of Saint Croix...

At 851 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located over mainly areas of the offshore Caribbean Waters and the
Anegada Passage, moving northeast at 15 to 20 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.
