564 FZCA72 TJSJ 111431 MWSSJU Marine Weather Statement National Weather Service San Juan PR 1031 AM AST Sat Oct 11 2025 AMZ716-726-733-735-112245- Coastal Waters from Cabo San Juan to the waters between Anegada Island and Virgin Gorda and North 10 NM- Coastal waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and just north of Culebra and Saint John- Caribbean waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the coastal waters of Saint Croix- Coastal Waters of Southern Puerto Rico out 10 NM- 1031 AM AST Sat Oct 11 2025 ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS... At 1030 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from the offshore Caribbean waters to over and north of St. Thomas. The thunderstorms were nearly stationary. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service forecast office. $$
