...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT MUNICIPALITIES of
SOUTH-CENTRAL AND SOUTHWESTERN THROUGH 845 PM AST...

At 802 PM AST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Penuelas, moving west at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and frequent lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Ponce, Yauco, Guayanilla, Penuelas, Guanica, Santo Domingo, Tallaboa
Alta, Palomas, Indios, Magas Arriba, Tallaboa, Fuig, Marueno,
Lluveras, and Maria Antonia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in San Juan.
