...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Utah, including the following
  county, Washington...specifically the I-15 corridor between Leeds
  and the Washington/Iron County border

* WHEN...Until 900 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban areas and roadways is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 756 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    La Verkin, Toquerville, Leeds and Pintura.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
