.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...Increasing winds will combine with single
digit humidities to bring widespread critical fire weather
conditions Monday. After a very poor overnight recovery, most
locations will see critical fire weather conditions Tuesday. Mid-
level moisture will increase Tuesday, limiting critical fire
weather conditions to valleys in central and southern Utah
Wednesday.
.DISCUSSION...As deep southwest flow builds into the region, a
long duration period of critical fire weather conditions will
impact Utah. Single digit humidities and gusty winds will bring
widespread critical fire weather conditions Monday. After a very
poor overnight recovery, gusty winds will develop across central
and southern Utah Tuesday once more. By later Tuesday into
Wednesday, mid-level moisture will begin to increase across
southern Utah. While little to no threat of precipitation is
expected with this moisture increase, it may be enough to bring
minimum humidities above 15% for the central and southern
mountains. Critical fire weather conditions look to continue for
the valleys through at least Friday. A dry cold front may cross
into the region Saturday, bringing some relief to the low
humidities.
