...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR
GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS AND LOW RH...

.DISCUSSION...Warm, dry and unstable southwesterly flow will reside
across the area today. The overnight inversion will lift between 0900
and 1000, allowing RH values to quickly fall into the teens, before
falling to near 10 percent after 1500. This southwesterly flow will
mix to the surface through the afternoon resulting in gusty winds.
Additionally, deep mixing (80th-90th percentile) will result in
unstable conditions throughout the afternoon. With this very dry
airmass in place, poor to non-existent RH recovery is expected
tonight. Southwesterly flow will strengthen Monday resulting in
critical fire weather conditions, as warm, very dry, and windy
conditions develop Monday afternoon.
