.DISCUSSION...Light precipitation is moving through the area this morning
with snow generally above 8500 feet and rain below. Conditions
will remain showery for the remainder of the day with snow line
rising up to ~9000-9250 feet by this afternoon. Conditions could
de-stabilize enough this afternoon to produce a few brief
thunderstorms. Any locations underneath these heavier storms could
see snow levels drop pretty quickly given the heavy precip rates,
and small hail will also be possible with these. Temperatures
will remain cold in the 30s throughout the day. Precipitation
starts to dissipate after sunset tonight with lows falling below
freezing. Winds should remain light and out of the southeast with
some gusty and erratic winds associated with any thunderstorms
that do develop.
