Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0600 MDT on September 03.
If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather
Service.
.DISCUSSION...Mild, dry, and windy conditions will continue over the
fire area today, with relative humidity falling by around 5
percent as compared to yesterday. The pairing of strong afternoon
winds (gusts up to 30-35 mph) and relative humidity as low as 15
percent in the lower elevations, will create elevated to near-
critical fire weather conditions. The dry air mass will help to
favor largely clear skies, bringing high solar radiation over the
landscape. Winds temporarily relax during the overnight period,
but are expected to pick back up in intensity by daybreak on
Friday. Moisture will increase on Friday, bringing at least a
slight chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms during the
afternoon hours.
