.DISCUSSION...Moisture associated with Tropical Cyclone Rachel will
gradually increase across the region through Saturday. In turn,
shower and thunderstorm chances will also increase through the
day. While models suggest there may be some dry periods, coverage
will tend to increase Saturday afternoon and evening, becoming
very widespread to persistent after around 2200. Given the
moisture, this activity will be capable of periods of heavy
rainfall, in addition to lightning and gusty erratic winds.
Otherwise, the background winds will increase out of the southwest
late morning through the afternoon, with gusts around 30-35 mph
expected. Higher gusts will be possible at higher elevations and
exposed ridgelines.

Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy (40-50 percent cloud cover) then
                    becoming mostly cloudy (70-80 percent cloud
                    cover). Slight chance of showers in the
                    morning, then chance of showers and slight
                    chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Chance of pcpn......60 percent.
Max temperature.....82-84.
Min humidity........33-35 percent.
Surface winds (mph).East winds 7-15 mph becoming southwest
around 15-20 mph with gusts to around
35 mph in the afternoon. Gusty and erratic
winds possible near showers and
thunderstorms.

Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (90-100 percent cloud cover).
                    Showers likely in the evening. Slight chance of
                    thunderstorms through the night. Showers
                    overnight.
