.DISCUSSION...Hot temperatures and generally light winds are expected
to remain in place over the fire area through the first half of
the week, with moisture increasing gradually each day. Though
moisture will be lowest by Monday, there is still a chance for
isolated showers and thunderstorms to develop over the Tushar
Crest, as well as the high terrain south of the fire. Overall
chances for heavy rainfall will be low on Monday and Tuesday, with
chances increasing notably by Wednesday. Moisture content is
expected to reach its peak by Wednesday, bringing the highest
chances for showers and thunderstorms over the fire area. Each
afternoon, any storms that develop are expected to do so by around
1200, with chances for showers and thunderstorms lingering
through around 2000-2100. The main concerns for storms on Monday
and Tuesday will be lightning as well as gusty and erratic outflow
winds and isolated heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall becomes more of
a threat by Wednesday. Otherwise, anticipate light terrain driven
flows for middle and lower slopes each day with ridgetop and
upper slope winds out of the southwest around 10 mph.
