.DISCUSSION...Showers and thunderstorms have been focused over
southern Utah so far today, but will see isolated showers and
thunderstorms develop over northern Utah this afternoon, with
coverage increasing further during the early evening with the
passage of a trough. Any storms that develop will be capable of
producing gusty and erratic thunderstorms winds in excess of 40
mph. There will also be a threat of heavy rain, hail, and frequent
lightning. Drier air will start to move in from the west during
the day tomorrow, but enough moisture and instability will remain
in place to bring another round of showers and thunderstorms
during the afternoon and early evening. Dry conditions will follow
for Wednesday into Thursday with another round of moisture
anticipated over the weekend.
