.DISCUSSION...A storm system will continue to slowly shift east
across Arizona late tonight into Thursday. As such, the bulk of
the moisture will remain well south of the burn site. That said,
some light snow showers will be possible at the burn site
overnight tonight, and again Wednesday afternoon. However, any
accumulation is expected to remain light, with 0.5 inches of snow
or less and around 0.05 inches of water equivalent or less. Winds
will remain out of a near southerly direction and are not expected
to be particularly strong. That, coupled with low mixing heights
will limit the clearing index to below 500 for Wednesday. Another
round of precipitation will be possible for Thursday, producing
up to 1 inch of snow and 0.1 inches of water equivalent. Mixing
conditions may improve slightly, but clearing index will likely
remain near to below 500.
