.DISCUSSION...Moisture remains in place through the remainder of today, bringing
a continued risk of isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms over the area. Primary risks associated with these
showers and thunderstorms will be heavy rainfall, frequent
lightning, and strong outflow wind gusts. Currently, the most
likely period to see strong thunderstorms will be between 6PM and
9PM. Even if a thunderstorm does not move directly overhead,
strong outflow wind gusts may travel greater than 15-20 miles from
the parent storm. A cold front is expected to move through the
area during the overnight hours, bringing another potential round
of rainfall between midnight and 5AM Sunday.
