...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...

.DISCUSSION...Monsoonal moisture remains in place across the state
bringing another day of potentially heavy rain before a lull
settles in Saturday and Sunday. This afternoon, precipitation is
forecast to once again develop around 1000-1200 with a 20-40%
chance rainfall totals over the burn scar exceed 0.50" through
2400, if a storm makes it over the terrain. Hourly precipitation
rates will be around 0.1-0.2"/hr, with low chances of exceeding
this threshold. However, local terrain influence may play into
this resulting in locally higher amounts possible this afternoon.
Back-building and slow moving storms are once again expected,
resulting in the continuation of the flash flood watch

Moisture begins tapering off somewhat tomorrow as a drying trend
develops, resulting in near-zero chances for precipitation near
the burn scar this weekend. In particular, isolated storms over
high terrain will be favored, potentially raising some concerns
across the burn scar but with great uncertainty regarding
placement at this time. Following midweek next week, monsoonal
moisture looks to return once again potentially increasing the
flooding threat at the burn scar.
