.DISCUSSION...A somewhat active pattern will persist through the work
week. One impulse will continue to pass through the area through
mid Monday, with another then expected Thursday into early Friday.
Roughly 0.10" to 0.20" water (1" to 2" snow) is expected through
the remainder of this first system, with around 0.07" to 0.15"
water (0.7" to 1.5" snow) with the second. Currently the increase
in transport winds on Thursday seems to offer the best potential
for clearing index values in excess of 500, with Wednesday/Friday
currently forecast to fall just a bit short. After the second
system forecast models largely support a more stable, dry and mild
pattern returning. Minimal precipitation chances are noted Friday
onward into the start of the upcoming week, and in general the
drier than normal conditions and above normal temperatures are
continued favored in the 8 to 14 day range. These stable
conditions will also likely favor limited mixing depth and
transport winds, and in turn lowered clearing index values.
