.DISCUSSION...Increased moisture will work into central and southern Utah
today as an area of low pressure combines with remnant tropical moisture.
This will produce widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms through
this evening. Drier air will work into the area on Tuesday as a cold
front settles into southern Utah. Moisture will be on the increase
once again Wednesday, then linger through Friday. Chances of wetting
rains will generally be in the 20-30% range Wednesday through Friday,
with min humidity in the 30-40% range each day. Currently best overnight
recovery is expected to be Thursday night. Certainly, between now and
Friday, Tuesday is expected to be the driest. By the weekend, however,
drier and warmer conditions are expected to build back into the area.
Min RH is expected to fall back into the teens by next Monday, with
modest overnight recovery and temperatures rising back to 5F-15F above
normal.
