.DISCUSSION...Increased moisture will remain in place over the fire area
today, likely helping to maintain a moderated fire weather
environment. Though humidity will remain elevated, daytime minimum
RH values will be around 15 percent lower than they were on
Thursday. Clouds will increase through the day with area showers
and thunderstorms developing about 1400. Additionally, a cluster
of widespread showers and thunderstorms moving northward across
Utah this afternoon may reach the fire between 1500 and 1800.
There is some uncertainty as to whether this cluster will hold
together all the way to northern Utah. It it does, it is worth
noting that it did bring flash flooding to southwest Utah this
morning, so it has a history of heavy rain potential.
Passing storms will bring potential for outflow winds in excess
of 25 mph. Otherwise, anticipate winds to transition from slope
flows in the morning to a southwest wind during the late morning,
then back to downslope light winds by 2100-2300.
