.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions will remain in place over the
fire area on Sunday, with temperatures increasing by 1-2 degrees
and humidity falling by 2-4 percent as compared to Saturday. Early
morning high-level cloud cover will dissipate gradually late in
the morning/ early in the afternoon, bringing little shade over
the fire. The combination of little shade and hot temperatures
will bring an increased risk for heat related illness. Winds will
be generally light and terrain driven in the morning, but will
prevail out of the southwest from the late morning through the
afternoon. Peak gusts are expected to be upwards of 25 mph,
especially for the higher exposure slopes and ridges. The
combination of breezy winds and low relative humidity will create
areas of elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions over
the fire. Breezy winds will transition back to terrain flows after
sunset, with humidity struggling to recover overnight.
