.DISCUSSION...For much of the morning and early afternoon hours,
the fire area will follow typical diurnally driven flow trends
alongside largely clear skies and strong solar insolation. Through
the mid-afternoon, cloud cover will increase over the fire as
showers and thunderstorms approach from the south. There is a low
chance (10-15%) that an isolated thunderstorm moves over the fire
before 1700-1800, with a much higher chance (up to 60%) between
1800 and 2100. Storms moving over, and around, the fire will bring
potential for heavy rainfall as well as gusty and erratic outflow
winds in excess of 30 mph. Even if storms don`t move over the
fire, anticipate stronger south winds to push over the fire around
1800-1900 as storms move northward. There is generally high
certainty for this wind shift to occur.
Moisture decreases across the area on Tuesday, however, isolated
showers and thunderstorms will still be possible during the afternoon
hours alongside increasing south to southwesterly flow.
